Fashola’s Wife Visits Lagos New Year Baby

Wife of Lagos State Governor, Dame Abimbola Fashola, visited various Maternal and Child Centres, MCC, in the state, Tuesday, to celebrate the 2014 First Baby of the Year.

At the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital, Dame Fashola congratulated the mother of the first baby of the year, Mrs. Folashade Adediji, who was delivered of a set of female twins.

The first baby was born at 12:01am, weighting 2.5kg and her twin sister, weighing 2.2kg, was delivered at 12: 06am.

Fashola also visited the General Hospital, Ifako Ijaiye and Apapa General Hospital.

In the hospitals visited, she commended medical directors and health officers for their contribution to maternal and child health in the state.

She has done very well. It's always a wonderful idea when we're talking of celebrating kids in this country.
