Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lagos Mainland (Surulere), Nigeria

Job Descriptions:

•   Primary duty is to keep and check financial accounts.  

•   Provides professional advice aiming to maximize profitability on behalf of the employer.

•   Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, preparing profit and loss statement, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.

•   Custodian of all accounting, financial and monetary issues/transaction of the business.

•   Process financial information into useful management information tool.

Key Function:

•   Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reports.

•   Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger account and document business transactions.

•   Maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.

•   Daily sales analysis.

•   Prepare, revenue, expense payroll, entries invoices and other accounting documents.

•   Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure expenditure control.

•   Received daily cash sales and make bank deposit.

•   Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits and dealing with any financial irregularities as noted.

•   Preparation of monthly staff payroll.

•   Payment to suppliers and vendors.

•   Other duties as assigned.

•   Colleagues: HR/Admin, Quality control, and Outlet managers

•   Subordinate: Supervisors and officers.

Qualification:

•   A good first degree in Accounting.

•   ACA will be an added advantage.

Required Skills:

•   Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles and procedures

•   Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

•   Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

•   Portrays honesty, integrity and accountability attributes.

NB: All Candidate must reside in Surulere and environs such as Lawanson, Yaba, Ojuwelegba, Costain, Aguda, Itire, Orile, Kilo, Jibowu and Masha.
