Di Matteo named Chelsea assistant coach

Former West bromwich albion coach, Roberto Di Matteo, has been named as Chelsea's new assistant first team coach.

Di Matteo was sacked as manager of West Brom in February amid a run of poor results and form.

The 41-year-old coach spent six years at Stamford Bridge signing from Lazio in 1996 and staying until his forced retirement from injury as a player in 2002.
