IDC helps IT professionals, business executives, and the investment community make fact-based decisions on technology purchases and business strategy.


This position is created to fulfill IDC in increasing focus on business and developing new business contacts in West Africa region based in Lagos, Nigeria. Working with the Country Manager and other directors of the company team, this role supports IDC’s rapidly growing business in area of research and consulting services.


Responsibilities: – Generate business demand, which includes research and consulting services and engagements, go-to-market services, events and conferences; – Sales for the West Africa region; assigned all product areas, territories and clients – Proposal preparation for prospective clients; – Client acquisition: contact and follow-up; – Developing prospects and client profiling: developing new contacts and identifying major decision makers within the IT and telecoms industry; – Local Development: identifying new business within the local user market; – Customer care and management: in this role the holder of the position will maintain close contact with IDC ‘s clients and complete with post delivery relations in order; – Maintain effective working relations with local and WW IDC analysts and IDC global sales operations; – Create and manage business and market development activity; – Financial monitoring and management of sales to assigned key clients, forecasts and submission of final results.


Qualifications: – University Degree; – 5-7 years of experience in Sales or Marketing (preferably within the IT, telecom or consulting), and be excellent at establishing and managing relationships with customers and prospects; – Strong domain skills with regards to ICT understanding – Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills – Overview of African ICT markets – Existing relationships with vendors – English language native/fluent – Good level of user knowledge of MS Office and databases.
