KWASU 2012/2013 Best Graduating Student Awarded N1.6m Scholarship

The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete best graduating student for the 2012/2013 academic session, Mohammed Tukur Ameen, has been awarded scholarship worth N1.6million from the state government to pursue his Ph.D programme in the United States.

The Department of Computer Science graduate made a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.96 out of 4.00 points.

Presenting the scholarship award to the beneficiary, the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji Wahab Opakunle said that the gesture was in fulfillment of government's promise to sponsor first-class graduating students.

He urged the awardee to build upon his striking academic qualities.
