Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Gets New Rector

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of a new Rector for the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro in the person of Mr Olanrewaju Olusegun Aluko.

He will be the fifth Rector of the Polytechnic and will serve a four-year term with effect from Friday, September 26, 2014.

In a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, on behalf of the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Aluko was charged with taking the polytechnic to greater heights.

Aluko, who is a native of Mopa in Kogi State, was born on May 13, 1960 and holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Architecture (1982) and M.Sc degree (1985) in the same discipline from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, while he is awaiting his Ph.D in Environmental Management from the Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
