The management of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School in Cross River State has said it would begin an intensive research in science and engineering to prepare its pupils for competitive global best practice.

In order to achieve this, the management said that some pupils have been incorporated to be part of the Defence Headquarters-approved Science and Engineering Apprentice Programme for eight weeks.

This was disclosed by the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Henry Babalola, while inaugurating an ultra modern Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Information and Communication Technology centre in the school at Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
