The Non-Academic Staff Union of Schools and Colleges (NASU), Ogun state chapter have been advised to give special attention to professionalism while discharging their duties.
.
The advice was given by a Commissioner in Ogun Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mr Timothy Adebowale, during a meeting with the new State Executive members of the union.
.
Adebowale said that the mission to ensure qualitative teaching must not be left only in the hands of teachers, adding that these duties should be a collective responsibility of both the teaching and non-teaching staff.
.
"In order to remain relevant in the service, members of your union need to enrol for professional courses so as to further improve on their areas of specialisation," he said.
