REQUIREMENTS: – Technical school graduate with and/or Certification of the Federal ministry of Labour (Trade test). NABTEB certification in Electrical and National Diploma in Electrical engineering, or college graduate with a Bachelor degree/Higher National Diploma in Electrical engineering preferred. – At least five (5) years professional working experience in similar power plant automation and controls system maintenance is required. – Solid hands on capacity in the laying and termination of power and controls cables; erection of battery panel; MV switchgear panels; LV switchgear panels; radiator power panels; VFD control panels. – Excellent Communication. Spoken English and Report Writing. – Has been working as a Mechanical or Electrical maintenance technician in at least a 7 × 8.74Mw 20V34SG gas-fired Wartisilla or Waukesha or comparable – OEM equipment or similar power plant for at least 5 years and technical experience must include trouble-shooting and operation and maintenance of ICE alternators and auxiliary equipment of ICEs. – Experienced in handling shift duties and attending to system and devices breakdowns, and including monitoring 11Kv/33Kv substation (30 MVA or similar); Auxiliary transformers (2 MVA) and other ICE parameters including recording energy meter readings.
