Role Summary/Purpose:   
The Compliance Leader will have responsibilities for driving and integrating the compliance agenda across GE in SSA and partnering with the compliance community across GE businesses and other pole Compliance Leaders.

Essential Responsibilities:   
•   This role is an integral part of the GGO team and the functional head that will be responsible for developing and monitoring the GE Compliance program and agenda across the [region / country].
•   The leader will take the lead role in identifying and assessing the key compliance risks across the country and/or region and driving a mitigation plan to address those risks.
•   Lead the business and corporate compliance leaders in the country/region in developing an effective and sustainable compliance program (e.g., policy and procedures implementation, third party due diligence and approvals, Session Ds, regulatory & compliance councils, etc.) tailored to the specific country risk profile. www.theinfostride.com
•   Drive the annual planning process for the country/region, including risk assessment, monitoring, surveillance/testing, and the assessment of the prioritization and sufficiency of resources.

Qualifications/Requirements:   
•   University Graduate
•   Active bar or law society membership (preferred)
•   10+ years' experience in related areas (compliance, legal, audit, etc) with strong performance
•   Ability & willingness to travel 50% of time
