The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has been honoured with the International award of Excellence for Urban Development at the on-going UN-Habitat World Urban forum 5 in Rio de Janeiro.  In his 20-minute presentation, the Governor, who was represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Physical Planning, Mr. Fransisco Abosede revealed that the bottom up approach which has given birth to participatory governance is the secret behind the huge success of his administration.
