Guatemala Under 20 team defeated Croatia by a lone goal in the Group D, last group match, in the onging FIFA U-20 World Cup, Columbia 2011. Guatemala scored in the 81th minute of the game.

Following the win, Guatemala came 3rd in group with 3 points, having lost their first two games against Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Guatemala have qualified for the know-out stage of the competition, as best losers and will play against Portugal on August 9 at 17:00 Columbia time.

Meanwhile Croatia failed to qualify for the second round of the competition, having lost all three group stage matches, which leaves them pointless alongside Mali in the competition.
