California Sculptor's 'Metropolis II' Features 1,200 Die-Cast Cars

American artist Chris Burden has spent the past four years creating the sculpture "Metropolis II," which shuffles 1,200 die-cast cars in a continuous loop -- sometimes reaching scale speeds of 240 mph -- through 18-roadways, including one with six lanes. It will be on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for 10 years beginning in the fall.
