Today Nigeria marks her 51 years of Independence from the former British colonial master on October 1, 1960. Since then, the country has witnessed a lot of transformations politically, socially and economically. While many people who witnessed the lowering of the Union Jack for the Green-White- Green national flag have gone to the great beyond, others are still alive to tell the story of the momentous occasion. Our Correspondent, IFEANYI EDUZOR, spoke with one of the greatest footballers ever produced in the country, Amusa 'Bulldozer' Shittu, who shared his experiences on the Independence football match between Nigeria and Ghana in 1960.
