Pepsi, the official beverage of the African Cup of Nations, has placed a N50m challenge on the table for the Super Eagles. The team will get the money if they beat Syli Naitonal of Guinea on Saturday and qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. They will, however, not get the money if they win the match but fail to qualify.

The Managing Director of Insight Communication, Mr. Jimi Awosika, and spokesperson for the Pepsi brand, said on Thursday in Lagos that it was Pepsi's design to inspire the players.

Awosika, quoting from Nigeria's national anthem, told the players and fans, "Arise O' Compatriots, Nigeria's call obey. This Saturday and henceforth we must all answer that call; we must all stand up and show support for our team and for our country Nigeria."
