Job description: 
The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties:
- Liaise effectively with government agencies in the bid to secure relevant permits and approvals for import and export functions
- Analyze and determine as necessary the most economic and efficient mode of freighting and customs clearance
- Must maintain adequate Follow-up with Duets in the User Departments served
- Pay attention to TEPNG Shipping and General Conditions and terms of purchase/Contracts to ensure the Company is not exposed to legal liabilities.
- Liaise with correspondent banks, government agencies on import/export functions, approvals and issuances of receipts and RARs.
- Manage and coordinate all activities relating to insurance claims/purposes.
- Liaise with Port operators for Company Interests, and Head of Yards for of stacking provisions management
- Training of other personnel in the Transit function
- Execute Internal finance processes, duty payments & procedures
- Participate in shipping contracts, procedures and policy formulation.
- Negotiate and Manage settlements for Material damages arising from operations in relations with Insurance
- Superintend all TEPNG export shipments processes
- Superintend import and export of personal effects.
- Participate in the follow-up and evaluation of the freight forwarders and customs clearing agents
- Issue EJCC Scan/Purchase orders according to the Groups condition of procurement, and ensuring conformity to the Transit Rule
- Engage in Shipping operations when necessary, prepare weekly reports.
- Maintain operational files and records of shipping transactions.   

Required Skills: 

Education: The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in any Management or Social Sciences.   

Experience: The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years experience in international trade / shipping or in similar activities   

Skills: The ideal candidate must be very analytical with ability to propose innovative and workable alternatives or solutions. S/he must have good interpersonal relationship, conviviality, capacity of anticipation, analysis and synthesis. Good communication skills and a good knowledge of all general software (Excel, Word etc...) is also required.
