Job Title: Cook / Steward (2-year renewable contract)
Duty Station: IITA Ibadan, Nigeria
Organisation: International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)

Duties:
Successful candidate will among other things:
•   Cook stock, sauces, soup, stews, vegetables and serve food at the counter
•   Write indent and collect food materials from the store
•   Cook breakfast, lunch and dinner on shift basis
•   Correct and properly arrange chillers and tidy up kitchen store before and after service
•   Observe all food safety and hygiene rules
•   Carry out general cleaning of all food preparation and service areas and also the fridges, burners, working tables, pots, pans during and at close of work.
•   Work in all sections of the kitchen (as may be directed by the supervisor) so as to develop multi skill talent
•   Carry out any other jobs assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification and Experience:
•   Minimum of ND in Catering & Hotel Management with at least 2 years or WASC/C&G plus 4 years catering experience in a standard outfit.
•   Successful candidate should be able to cook and present African & basic continental food,
•   He/she should be willing to learn & accept responsibilities assigned.
•   He must be a good team player and should be ready to work long hours and during holidays.
•   Experience in House keeping & custodian services will be added advantage.

Qualification and Experience:
•   BSc/HND in any related discipline plus 5 years relevant working experience in a Corporate Business Unit that has responsibility for customer service & business development.
•   Candidate must be self motivated, disciplined and have a pleasant disposition. He/She must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must be computer literate.
•   He must be a good team player and should be ready to work long hours and during holidays.
