A CLERIC, Senior Apostle Matthew Omorodion of the Deliverance Healing Miracle Church of God, Benin, has cautioned President Jonathan to be careful how he handles the fuel subsidy issue in order to avert a national crisis.

Addressing journalists in Benin City, yesterday, Omorodion called on Jonathan to set up a peace and reconciliation committee within 14 days, saying failure to do so would result in grave consequences for the country.

He added: "God warned that the leadership of this country should desist from anything that would bring calamity upon the people.  He emphasised that the cry of the masses has reached Him and He is angry over the atrocities of past and present leaders."

Omorodion also urged government to set up machinery to arrest any major post-election crisis in Bayelsa State.
