Role Summary/Purpose:   

To fabricate and weld Company equipment to a high standard, adhering to HSEQ policies and procedures and in a timely manner.

Essential Responsibilities   

-Fabricate & weld equipment in a timely manner and in accordance with standard policies and procedures with attention to the work order routings.

-Maintain accurate traceability records for all fabrications.

-Ensure timely and full handover to the appropriate person on the next shift.

-Maintain a hazard free and tidy work area.

-Keep and provide accurate work documentation.

-Participate in continual improvement for safety, quality and throughput

Qualifications/Requirements:   

-B.Sc.Engineering (Mechanical option) or related disciplines.

-Ability to read and understand drawings and engineering part specifications

-Experience in welding fabrication including cutting material to size and setting up joints

-Process experience: Submerged arc (SAW), SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW

-High level of HSE awareness with certification in slinging and lifting, abrasive wheels, manual handling and forklift

-Ability to work well on own as well as part of a team.
