Position: Senior Nurse (AC 005)

Location: Lagos

The Role: S/He will work collaboratively with the entire medical team to meet the needs of patient. The selected candidate would develop or contribute (as required), and implement policies, standards and protocols to ensure high quality service delivery to entire patient population. S/he will be responsible for providing nurse leadership, S/He will provide support to doctors during procedures as required. S/he would also be expected to engage clients regularly to get feedback regarding client comfort and care, and to take any action required.
Duties and responsibilities
· Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes to promote health and well-being, and prevent adverse effects on health and well-being.
· Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
· Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that encourage patients to live healthily, and encourage principles of self-care
· Deliver opportunistic health promotion using opportunities such as new-patient medicals
· Assess and care for patients presenting with uncomplicated wounds
· Support and advise women requesting information relating to family planning needs
· Support and manage health needs of women presenting for cervical cytology consultations
· Implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children
· Advise, support and, where appropriate, administer vaccinations for patients travelling abroad
· Assist physicians as required

Qualifications, experience and attributes
 A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing and additional professional qualification (preferably midwifery)
 Minimum of eight years nursing experience, at least 2 years in a supervisory role
 Advanced clinical practice skills
 Ability to utilize and demonstrate sensitive communication styles, to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment.

Position: Nurse (AC 006)

Location: Lagos

The Role: The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of basic practice nursing care to patients. Supported by a senior nurse within the practice, she will deliver care within the boundaries of her role, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, disease prevention and screening activities. S/he will work collaboratively with the rest of the practice team to meet the needs of patients.

Duties and responsibilities
 Work with the rest of the medical team to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes to promote health and well-being of patients.
 Assist physicians in the delivery of high quality patient care
 Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote patients to live healthily, and encourage principles of self-care
 Implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children
 Promote and deliver evidence-based care for patients
 Prioritise, organise and manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality
 Work effectively with the team to clearly define values, direction and policies impacting upon care delivery.
 Participate in team activities that create opportunities to improve patient care
