Today, President Goodluck Jonathan said "We Must Farewell To Do Or Die Elections" and noted it on his Facebook Page and I quote!

QuoteDear friends and fellow compatriots, as we approach the 2011 elections I want to as a responsible leader prepare your minds for the coming months and what to expect. The leadership of any nation is a highly coveted position and more so when that nation is Nigeria, the largest black nation on earth and so richly endowed with human and natural resources. As such, as the competition as to who becomes President in 2011 gathers momentum, it is to be expected that some persons will naturally begin to be dangerously anxious to the extent of hitting some of us below the belt. For me, I care not about my personal safety, it is the safety and security of our citizens with regards to our age long aspirations to development and advancement that must be of concern. This election, I have said again and again is not about me, it is about Nigeria and the future of her great citizens.

Today, President Goodluck Jonathan said "In Furtherance of Promising Less and Delivering More-The Kano Experience" and noted it on his Facebook Page and I quote!

QuoteRecently I visited Kano where I commissioned the 330/132/33 VA Kumbotso transmission substation which will have a major and positive impact in improving power supply to that ancient city as well as parts of Jigawa, Katsina and Yobe states. This is the first time in 30 years that a power project of this magnitude has been commissioned in Kano and I want to assure the people of Kano and the rest of Nigeria that this is what I meant when I made a commitment to promise Less and deliver More. I would rather demonstrate what we are doing by working quietly and let you see the results than talk about it.

Yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan said "What Matters is Where We Are Going, Not Where we Come From" and noted it on his Facebook Page and I quote!

QuoteI had earlier in a note entitled 'Farewell to Do or Die Elections' to you my friends and to the larger Nigerian society pledged my willingness to play politics without pain. In furtherance of that, you may want to note that the Jonathan/Sambo campaign team has been touring the country and having dialogues in every zone of the nation. Since we believe in persuasion over coercion, our team has also visited opposition party strongholds and chieftains. Now we have not stopped there. I as President and one who has declared my interest in the 2011 Presidential elections have "without bitterness" and rancour received many of the aspirants who have thought it necessary as protocol demands to pay me a visit to intimate me of their Presidential ambitions. And those who have not thought it necessary continue to enjoy my good will.

Today, President Goodluck Jonathan promised to "Fight Insecurity With Education", noted it on his Facebook Page and I quote!

QuoteIn my earlier notes to you my friends on facebook I explained that our administration intends to tackle the issue of insecurity holistically rather than reacting in a knee jerk manner. I had said we will pay special attention on preventive strategies even as we focus on equipping and training our personnel to secure our nation. You may recall that I had traced the root of insecurity to poverty and that poverty has a very stubborn relationship to illiteracy.
