Roles and responsibilities   

Overall Purpose of the Position:

The documentation consultant will be based in Bauchi state and may be required to work in Sokoto depending on the specific deliverables. S/he will support the KM&C Specialist in updating the TSHIP knowledge base with a variety of project documents.

Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

•   Assist in retrieving a variety of project documents for central archiving to enhance accessibility;

•   Determine all the required project documents required for archiving based on the TSHIP annual work plan (PY1 – 3);

•   Develop a catalogue for the knowledge base including an electronic dashboard to ascertain documentation status;

•   Liaise with all sub-objective teams and finance and administrative units to obtain necessary documents as appropriate

•   Confer with the KM&C Specialist to discuss development changes or revisions; and

•   Perform other duties as required.

Skill set   

•   Bachelors degree and seven years of IT systems support, document archiving, software development experience preferably with a donor-funded project

•   Excellent communication skills

•   Knowledge of MNCH/FP/RH issues

•   Remarkable command of computer and relevant software applications

•   Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.

•   Profound ability to perform gracefully under pressure and meet deadlines.

•   Strong willingness to be flexible to project needs

•   Remarkable ability to perform as part of a team as well as individually.

Key Deliverables:

•   A searchable, accessible, up-to-date knowledge base for TSHIP based on all activities implemented from 2010-2012

•   E-catalogue of all documents available in the knowledge base

•   Electronic dashboard linked with the knowledge base (including pictorial presentations)
