Scholarship Description: The scholarship, administered by the Department of Political and Cultural Studies, commemorates Nawal Al Sharif, a friend of the University and a highly respected colleague on the University's Jordanian projects for a number of years before her death in 2001. The Nawal Al Sharif scholarship is for: •a maximum award of £12,000 made annually (the size of the award will be adjusted for part-time/mixed mode study) (awards may be less than the maximum, depending on circumstances);
