AWKA—THE over 6,000 workers of Anambra State origin disengaged from other states will soon get a reprieve as the state government said yesterday it was thinking of how to rehabilitate them.

Governor Peter Obi, who stated this while addressing workers during this year's May Day rally, said the sacked workers were from various states of the country.

He urged the state Head of Service, HOS, to articulate demands of labour with a view to finding out how to solve them.

The governor commended workers for their efforts in assisting his administration in rebuilding the state after its dark days, assuring that he would continue to attract more investors from outside the state to shore up its economy.

The state chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Patrick Obianyo, commended the cordial relationship existing between labour and government.
