Responsibilities:

•   Work with the IBD team to ensure the department meets its budget

•   Will be involved in originating, structuring and executing clients mandates

•   Supervise the collation of relevant financial data for transaction analysis

•   Guide analysts and associates in building simple and complex modeling, valuation, and in-depth quantitative analysis in connection with client assignments

•   Engage in and supervise the development of pitch materials and other client marketing materials, including information memoranda, management and Board presentations

•   Support the Head of Investment Banking and the Managing Director in prospecting for new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients

•   Developing, mentoring and coaching junior colleagues including dissipating knowledge to staff across the Firm

Education:

•   A Bachelor's degree

•   An MBA or Master's degree in a related course

Work Experience:

•   Minimum of 10 years work experience in investment banking or related industry

•   Minimum of 5 years work experience in the investment banking division of a major Wall Street Firm

•   In-depth experience in any or more of the Firm's focus industries (agriculture, power, oil & gas, technology and financial services) or new product development areas (project finance or structured finance) will be an added advantage

Skills and Competences:

The ideal Candidate should be able to demonstrate

•   Capability for analysis and strategic thinking

•   A detailed understanding of the Nigerian capital markets and business environment

•   Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations effectively

•   Ability to build and manipulate complex financial models

The Candidate should have excellent

•   Verbal and written communication skills

•   Proficiency level in the use of Microsoft office tools especially Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•   Team spirit

•   Leadership skills
