Primary Objectives:

•   To provide support and direction to the project and location teams within the region to ensure successful execution of the projects

•   To assist in the formulation of the pursuit strategies for major opportunities  within the region to improve both the success in winning the key pursuits and also providing a sound strategy for successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Provide leadership in the region in the effective execution of projects

•   To monitor the health of projects in the region and to intervene where required to ensure problems are addressed

•   To assist locations in establishing effective delivery organisation to deliver their planned portfolio of work

•   To champion the application of WorleyParsons global processes for project delivery

•   To provide leadership in HSE in project delivery and the application of OneWay on our projects

•   To ensure there is an effective assurance programme on all our projects and to personally participate in these assurance activities for the mega and location/Customer critical projects

•   To identify areas of support required and to co-ordinate this support through the sub regional managers of projects and the regional managers of engineering, procurement, construction, projects controls, estimating and quality assurance.

•   To identify where support is required in project initiation and to ensure this support is delivered and effective

•   To provide hands on support, where required, to recover projects that are failing to deliver against their objectives

Specific Activities:

•   Project Monthly Reviews

•   Lead Peer Reviews

•   Reporting on Regional Project Performance

•   Bid reviews (EPR's, Red & Green team reviews)

•   Review and approval of execution plans for mega projects and pursuits

•   Assistance with recruitment of key project personnel

•   To be the regional Business Process Owner for WorleyParsons project management processes

•   To champion and monitor regional training programmes in project delivery

•   Project sponsorship/Steering committees

•   Leadership and establish effective network of direct reports

•   Performance reviews of direct reports

Attributes and skills:

•   Strong track record in project delivery leadership across all phases and including full EPCM or EPC

•   Willing to be hands on where required

•   Credibility across the range of industries

•   Good presentation skills with customers

•   Good people skills

•   Energetic

•   Willing to travel
