Purpose:

•   The Lead Cost Engineer will report to the Team Lead Cost Engineering and be a part of the Project Services orginization.

•   She/he will be responsible for delivering standard, consistent and robust cost management frameworks, tools and procedures to projects.   

Accountabilities:

•   Deliver consistent but appropriate cost management structures for medium-size, stand-alone projects.

•   Roll-out the emerging Shell standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project's ORP stage.

•   Support delivery of cost management solutions for projects

•   Support the development of project cost breakdown structures and their population from the estimate.   

Experience and Qualifications:

• A recognized 4 year degree with certification in cost engineering or equivalent experience.

• At least 10 years experience in cost engineering with at least 8 years experience directly related to cost controls in a project environment.

• Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop cost control functionality requirements for new deep-water development projects.

• Played a significant role on a major project. Demonstrated capability to proactively implement plans, follow through with sustained execution, and to meet project milestones

• Good supervisory qualities and experience, including good communication skills, and proactive commitment to HSE
