General Position Definition:

OPL 245 is a deepwater block in the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Nigeria. The block ownership is 50% ENI and 50% SNEPCo with ENI as the operator. ENI has recently obtained their interest in the block and is now looking to move quickly to development an existing oil discovery, ZabaZaba. SNEPCo will have an active "Shadow Team" to provide deepwater experience, assistance, and assurance. This position will have the opportunity to contribute materially to the shape and direction of the project and in the building of successful relationships with ENI.         

Purpose:

Work within the SNEPCo Surface Systems "Shadow Team" as the Subsea Systems focal point in the monitoring, guidance, and assurance of ENI as this OPL 245 deepwater development moves through concept selection, concepts definition in the pre-DG3 phase (late 2012 / early 2013). Project is expected to move into FEED /Define phase where continued support and monitor will be required by SNEPCo's "Shadow Team" to help ensure ENI's delivery against promises.         

Experience and Qualifications required   

•   A recognized BS in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Subsea Engineering, or equivalent.

•   12 years experience in deepwater subsea hardware and systems engineering.

•   Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop Subsea System functionality requirements for new deep-water development projects.

•   Thorough knowledge of deepwater subsea hardware and systems engineering design and construction methods including practices, procedures, codes, standards, and regulations.

•   Preferred experience in working and delivering in a diverse/ multi-cultural environment, preferably with a proven track record of working in an NOV, protecting and enhancing Shell's position as JV partner of choice
