Job Title: Director of Physical Planning

Location: Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria

Organisation: Abia State University – ABSU

Position & Responsibility:

The Director of Physical Planning is the head of the Physical Planning Unit of the University.

•   Responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the co-ordination and supervision of the physical/infrastructural development of the University by ensuring that all such development projects, conform strictly with the specifications of the Institution's Master plan.

Qualifications:

The candidate must possess:

•   A good honours Degree in any of the following Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or in other related fields

•   The candidate must also be a registered and current member of any of the relevant professional bodies e.g Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) or Nigerian Institute of Quality Surveyors (NIQS) as appropriate

•   The candidate should be ICT literate

•   And not more than fifty-five (55) years of age.

•   Possession of a higher degree in the relevant field of Specialization and Fellowship of any of the specialized bodies, will be an added advantage.

Experience

The candidate must have at least thirteen (13) years post-qualification experience, (10) of which should be cognate in a University or Institution(s) of similar status

Salary/Condition of Service:

The Salary and conditions of service shall be as obtainable in the Nigerian University system the appointment would be for one term of five (5) years only.
