Main Purpose of the Job:

To control, direct, and coordinate the activities of the warehouse/Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics-

•Establish processes for the overall supply chain execution in planning, material procurement, inventory control, forwarding and clearing monitoring.

•Set stock reorder point and quantities to ensure adequate stock levels and continually update warehouse stock database.

• Management of third parties (transportation, staff , shipping/ clearing of foreign goods and others)

•Coordination of all requests from and resolving issues branches and sites

•Coordination of warehouse operations.

•Advise management on stock situation( obsolete, scraps, non moving and others)

•Provide quality control of incoming orders and resolve issues relating to  shortages, damages and other discrepancies.

•Warranty claims of damaged products.

Warehouse operations-

•Implement operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

•Direct the receiving, inspection, storage, and redistribution of products as per Issue Instructions.

•Arrange for the distribution of materials to the sites.

•Coordinate the usage of transport.

•Participates in the planning of personnel safety and Warehouse protection activities.

•Monitor safe, appropriate and organised use of the warehouse space.

•Resolve order/delivery discrepancies with vendors and resolve warehouse stock discrepancies.

•Set up stock taking procedure for warehouse materials.

•Resolving stock discrepancies recorded during stock taking.

•Giving instructions to the Warehouse assistant Manager on stock issuance.

•Packaging, handling, storage and transporting of products from the Warehouse to branches/ sites.

•Disposal of products after necessary approval.

•Determine store space requirements and proper methods of stock control and storage

Knowledge:

•   A minimum first degree (B.Sc or HND) in the social sciences/numerical discipline.

•   Banking operations knowledge will be an added advantage.

•   Computer literacy

•   Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage

Experience:

•   5 years minimum working experience in the Warehouse & Procurement environment.

•   Working knowledge of Procurement policies and procedures, preferably in financial institution
