Starving polar bears a sign of warming Arctic

Wildlife biologist Ian Bullock says shrinking areas of sea ice are forcing polar bears into smaller areas and more intense competition. Tourists and researchers on a summer cruise to the Arctic saw evidence when a starving female polar bear, with cub in tow, unsuccessfully challenged a much bigger, stronger male for food.
