Asaba airport has increased economic activities in Delta – Ogeah

Asaba airport has increased the tempo of economic activities in the immediate environment of the airport in Asaba and the entire state. This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information, Delta State, Barr. Christopher Chike Ogeah.

He said"You know the kind of economic activities the airport in Asaba is generating now, this is purely an aviation activity that is boosting all the other sectors of the economy in the state"

According to him, other sectors like tourism, agriculture, hospitality business and others has grown because of the airport in the state. "Now in the Asaba, Agbor corridor, you can't find any land to buy because all these hospitality businesses have all started building, so basically that whole economy will just explode why because there is one activity in the aviation sector, so these are the things that we are doing"

Commenting on the passenger traffic at the airport, Hon. Ogeah pointed out that the traffic has been encouraging as passengers keep trooping to the airport. He said that the airport serve not only Delta state but also people living within the suburb of the state  who could easily get connected to their various states through Asaba airport.
