Jonathan tasks NIM on corruption

ABUJA – PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, called on members of the Nigerian Institute of Management, NIM, to join the Federal Government in the fight against corruption.

He equally implored them to engage in youth development in the interest of the nation.

President Jonathan, who spoke while declaring open the 2012 Annual National Management Conference of NIM in Abuja, said his administration would continue to fight corruption and other social vices until the country achieved desired results.

He commended the institute for its efforts made in the past in the area of youth development and empowerment, particularly in the training of over 250,000 youths and urged them not to relent.

Represented by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Isa Sali, President said: "To set this country on the path of greatness and prosperity, complete elimination of all forms of corrupt practices must be in the front burner and our collective consciousness always.

"You will agree with me that greatness is the reward of great leadership. This is our motivation."
