Pinkie Pie dubbed name for the hacker won $60,000 for uncovering a flaw in the google chrome browser. This was a sponsored contest by google in a move to shore up its browser's defences and ensure the browser is just good enough.

The hacker relied on a WebKit Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) compromise to exploit the renderer process and a second bug in the IPC layer to escape the Chrome sandbox. Google didn't have any choice but to award him the prize and take the challenge immediately. That therefore means that after ten hours of prize betting, there was an update to the browser.
