Popular singer, Banky W has jumped on social media to blast the practice of child marriage in Nigeria.
The politician recently revealed that those doing it under the guise of religion should stop it asap.
According to him, if Mecca can raise the consent age to 18 then Nigeria has no excuse to persist with the horrible act.
He added that it is high time we did away with ancient beliefs that are nothing but bad news for our kids.
His words, “Some Nigerians try to hide behind religion as the reason why they should be allowed to marry children.”
