Chairmanship aspirant die in auto crash

ABEOKUTA — A  leading chairmanship aspirant on the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Otunba Yomi Ismail, yesterday,  died along with two others in a fatal auto crash that left  three others critically injured.

However, the family of the late aspirant  alleged that it was politically- motivated, claiming that his opponent invoked spiritual power to kill him through the accident.

The  fatal accident  occurred on J4-Igele Road in Ogun Waterside on Tuesday evening, while  on his way back from Abeokuta, after he was cleared by the party to contest the forthcoming Local Government Election fixed for July 21.

Vanguard gathered that the late Ismail  hailed from Ibiade in Ogun Waterside Local Government area of Ogun State was  unanimously endorsed by the party in the council area as its choice on Sunday.
