Purpose:

•   The Principal Electrical Engineer reports directly to the Head of the Electrical Engineering team and shall be responsible for the Greenfield and Brownfield Electrical Engineering design, construction & commissioning activities and asset integrity assurance in the Deepwater Projects Organization.

•   He shall be conversant and be able to use the electrical tools for the suite of system studies, cable selection, sizing and routing among others.

•   He shall also Select & Specify requirements for electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with HSE and sustainable development requirements and consideration of life cycle issues.

Experience and Qualifications required:

•   Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 12 years post graduation relevant electrical engineering experience.

•   Broad knowledge of the other disciplines such as process, technical safety, instrumentation, control & automation, mechanical and civil/structural engineering will be an advantage.

•   Strong conceptual innovative thinking with technical and analytical skills.

•   Working knowledge of SKM Powertool for Windows (PTW).

•   Proficient in the use of the suite of MS Office applications.- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and deliver results through others.
