BARELY 12 hours to the flag- off of the campaign of President Goodluck Jonathan, eminent members of the Peoples Democratic Party from the North have asked the party leadership to stop him from participating in the presidential primary.

They wrote a letter to the National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo, Friday explaining why the President must be stopped by the party.

The signatories to the September 17, 2010 letter are: Adamu Ciroma, MFR  (Madaki Fika); Dr. Iyorchia Ayu  Alhaji Lawal  Kaita; Alhaji Bello Kirfi, CON (Wazirin Bauchi);   Amb. Yahaya Kwande and Bashir Yusuf Ibrahim.

All the  signatories are members of the Northern Leaders Political Forum, whose meeting with the South-South Peoples Assembly Elders Forum on Thursday was deadlocked.
