SSS Director vows to crush kidnapping in Delta

Asaba—DELTA State Director of State Security Service, SSS, Mrs. Florence Ikanone, yesterday, paraded eight persons allegedly involved in different cases of kidnap, including a cousin to a Senior Special Adviser to the State Deputy Governor, who allegedly aided  the kidnap of his brother in a bid to  collect N7 milion ransom.

The SSS boss while parading the suspects at the command's state headquarters in Asaba, said the suspects, who planned to kidnap the deputy governor's aide, including one of his cousins (names withheld) "were arrested by the Service for sending threat messages to kidnap David Ighovojah, a Special Adviser to the Deputy Governor of Delta State and demanding with menace, for the sum of N7 million"

The Service also arrested three others at Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, in connection with designing and printing of superimposed pornographic pictures and sending threat messages to the Director of Weekend Programme Petroleum Training Institute PTI, Mr Peter Ekumagba.
