Programme Summary:

•   This is proposed, five-year, internationally funded human resources for health project in northern Nigeria.

•   The programme will serve to radically increase female participation in the health workforce, resulting in more women health workers, higher retention of female health workers, and increased health worker coverage in low-coverage areas, across five states on northern Nigeria: Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Yobe and Zamfara.

Description:  

We are seeking high caliber research and M&E expertise for positions in this programme.  Experience in health systems analysis and research is required, and economics, organization and institutional development and policy expertise is welcome.

Qualifications:

•   Advanced degree in public health or a relevant field

•   Research and M&E expertise and track record

•   At least ten years' experience in a research and / or M&E role and significant experience of health initiatives

•   In depth knowledge of Nigeria's health systems

•   Willingness to travel within Northern Nigeria

•   Excellent written and spoken English
