Role Synopsis:

•   At Baker Hughes, this position is responsible for conducting and performing pumping operations on customer locations in relations of the duty of a mechanic as per Baker Hughes standard practices, maintenance in accordance with Baker Hughes procedures and as required.

•   To maintain and grow the company's status as the recognized leader within the oil service industry by ensuring that the highest quality standards are achieved to meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

1. To carry out maintenance on equipment efficiently and to maximize availability of equipment fit for use

2. To maintain control of all records in accordance with the Quality Management System

3. To ensure that all periodic inspections are carried out in support of the preventative maintenance program, and that schedules are maintained

4. To ensure that all work carried out meets the requirements of manufacturers' and / or company to ensure equipment is maintained fit for purpose.

5. To co-ordinate and ensure the base yard/workshop is maintained in an organised and safe state to facilitate the repair, maintenance and movement of equipment and units.

6. To ensure that all prime equipment is function tested prior to mobilization.

7. Ensure all returned unserviceable items are identified; repair work assessed, and repair work Carried out as soon as practical

8. To request any spares or parts required for maintenance

9. Plan and execute all maintenance activity according to the "Job Card System"

10. Ensures full awareness of and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant Company/ customer HSE Handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures.

11. Actively ensures that his / her own health & safety and the health & safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times.

12. Other Adhoc duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

•   OND Mech with over 4 years' experience

•   Tech Certificate in Mechanical systems with over 6 years practical hands on experience or

•   Trade Test 1,2 and 3 With 7years experience

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

Good communication skills – both verbal and written.

Good analytical skills.
