THE ROLE

CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide an Expediting Engineer for a position to be based in Port Harcourt. 12 month (renewable) contract.

THE PERSON

Minimum 5 years of experience in a related position, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry and/or construction industry. Guarantee that operational requirement and deadline are met at all time. Communicating with the material management department for preparing supplier lists for each purchased material for speeding up the procurement process and meeting projects requirements in a timely manner. Ensure the follow up of creation of GR, SES and payment of contractor. Assist in providing periodic analysis of KPIs in order to highlight problems and propose corrective actions. Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the hierarchy.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ideal candidate will be degree qualified, or equivalent, in a relevant subject. Technical background required. Ability to work in a multicultural team on different physical location. Knowledge of SAP, e-purchasing tools and international trading regulations (Incoterms). Knowledge of the principles, methods and legal requirements of purchasing and import procedures. Knowledge of sourcing suppliers and contract management. Commitment to excellence, respect for deadlines, autonomy, team spirit, ability to learn quickly, and a strong sense of organization and analysis. Strong Knowledge of Nigerian environment, Nigerian purchasing practices and Nigerian importation procedures for compliance reasons. Proficiency in information technology tools including PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel, FrontPage, etc. Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English, essential.
