With just a month in the market, new Xperia tablet sales is to be halted following the discovery that the device may not be water resistant as advertised.

The company says it will repair any damaged devices and a spokesperson said a manufacturing flaw was to blame. The date when the sales are expected to recommence has not been announced yet.
