Villa's Bent won't ask for January move

Aston Villa striker Darren Bent insists he will not rock the boat and demand to leave the club in January, even if he remains on the fringes of Paul Lambert's plans.

Bent, 28, remains frustrated at losing his regular starting role under the new Villa manager and is at a loss to explain why he has been left on the substitutes' bench in recent weeks, after also being stripped of the club captaincy.

Despite constant denials of a rift between himself and Lambert from both parties, there have been rumours that the England international will move on in the January transfer window - something Bent denies.
