It currently has around 500 undergraduate and 130 postgraduate students following its programmes. The Department has six internationally recognised research groups: Analysis, Geometry, Number Theory, Disordered Systems, Financial Mathematics, and Theoretical Physics. The Theoretical Physics group conducts research in supersymmetry, string and M- theory and related areas. The permanent members of the group are Dr Benjamin Doyon, Dr Nadav Drukker, Dr Nikolay Gromov, Professor Neil Lambert, Dr Dario Martelli, Professor George Papadopoulos, Dr Andreas Recknagel, Professor Alice Rogers, Dr Sakura Schafer-Nameki, Dr Gerard Watts and Professor Peter West. King's College London is a research-led university based in the heart of London with nearly 23,500 students (of whom more than 9,000 are graduate students) from nearly 140 countries, and some 9,000 employees.This is a fixed-term post for three years and is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) as part of a grant for a project on 'The Gauge/Gravity Duality and Geometry in String Theory', held by Dr Dario Martelli.Candidates should have the potential to carry out research which has high levels of originality, innovation and depth that may well lead to significant impact on their field over the long term.

Scholarship is offered for 3 years.

What does it cover? 

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 6 scale, currently £31,020 per annum plus £2,323 London Allowance per annum.
