Microsoft to Windows Live Messenger with Skype's messeging tool

It seems Microsoft is intending to focus on skype after announcing that Windows Live Messenger (WLM) would be turned off by March 2013 worldwide, with the exception of China.

WLM launched in 1999 when it was known as MSN Messenger and overtime it gathered many users. To ease the changeover, Microsoft is offering a tool to migrate WLM messenger contacts over.

This is a move to not only enhance the windows features but also to capture more users in this competitive market where several companies are improving day after day.
