Breaking News: Senator Olusola Saraki dies at 81

One-time senate leader, political godfather and icon of Kwara politics, Senator  Abubakar Olusola  Saraki, has died at the age of 79.

Senator Saraki who was the father of the immediate past governor of Kwara state and a serving senator of the federal republic representing Kwara central, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki and a three-term member of the National Assembly, Ruqayyah Gbemisola Saraki, died after a brief illness in Lagos.

A close source to the family of the deceased said that the death occurred early Wednesday (this) morning and details of his  burial will be announced later.
