Roberto Di Matteo has spoken of his pride at managing Chelsea and insists he has no ill
feelings towards the club after being sacked just eight months into his Chelsea tenure.
Di Matteo was replaced by Rafael Benitez on Wednesday, but in a statement via the
League Managers Association, he praised the club's fans for their support.
"It was an honour for me to be appointed manager of a club that I loved playing for and one that is so close to my heart," the statement read. "I am extremely proud of the successes and trophies that we were able to bring to the club in recent months.
