Job Purpose:

•   IN and VAS Planning is a very vital position which entails; planning of charging and value added solutions, monitoring of growth and industry trends with a view to deploy best-in-fit technology for Airtel Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:

•   Analyze business  processes and requirement

•   Perform concept design of new services,

•   Formulate position papers/white papers on IN and VAS products and services

•   Research into New technology and development in Telecommunication industry

•   Perform dimensioning, of all IN and VAS Nodes

•   Prepare and write solution descriptions and secure the technical functionality and quality of delivery

•   Convert business ideas to solution on prepaid platform

•   Ensure that the project generated documentation reflects a fit-for-purpose design and compiles with the contract requirements

•   Provide consultation services to relevant business units

•   Formulate detailed design specification

•   Liaison with Marketing and New Product and Services

•   Plan and design in accordance with network growth

•   Technology assessments and trials (RFI/RFP/RFQ)

•   Engage with Airtel Africa HQ team on design and planning of IN and VAS solutions

•   Validate vendors solution designs and technical drawings

•   Prepare CAPEX/AOP for IN and VAS and ensure prompt payment of invoices

Reporting:

•   Update IN and VAS diagrams and design on quarterly basis

•   Measure KPIs of IN and VAS solutions and report variance

•   Prepare monthly usage of CAPEX for IN and VAS

Supervision:

•   Monitor project deliverables and validate implementation against design document.

•   Validate solution implementation before rollout

Desired Skills & Experience:

•   BSC or HND in Computer Science or Engineering  or Masters in Computer Applications

•   8-10 years of work experience work experience with 8 years of relevant experience in Telecom    

•   Sound understanding of generic Telco VAS, IN applications and Core general  Knowledge

•   Extensive knowledge of telecom workflows to ensure effective integration on different product and system  platforms

•   Understanding and experience in systems integration

•   Experience in Ericsson Charging system will be an advantage
