Description:

An opportunity exists for a Demand Planner reporting to the Supply Chain Director. The successful incumbent will provide customers with a demand forecast on tactical and operational levels so that informed business decisions can be made.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Compile and manage an agreed demand forecast – Report on forecast performance – Provided statistical base for sales budget

Requirements: – Minimum B. Degree with a major in a financial, commercial or statistical field – Minimum 4 years' experience in a supply chain management role, preferably at management level – Knowledge and experience in clearing and forwarding processes – Experience in the management of a large data base would be an advantage – Good knowledge of supply chain principles and practices – Excellent understanding of inventory management – Application of knowledge – Decisiveness – Above average numeracy in order to perform complex calculations – Assertiveness – Analytical thinking – Software applications and system knowledge – Practical research methodology – Advanced statistical methods
